Ca’ del Riccio silvano (The house of the Hedgehog )

is a country-house with a green and animal oriented approach. Immersed in the green Venetian countryside, it is located in a strategic area, a few km from the cities of Venice and Treviso. Surrounded by large green areas, it borders an ancient wood, called the Heremit Wood, where legend has it that a farmer lived with his animals in a great spiritual retreat. The country-house is divided into two parts, one of which is for guests, which consists of an independent apartment of 70 square meters, with a large living room with a panoramic window, a small kitchenette, a dining area and two French sofa beds for 1/2 guests, double-bedroom, and bathroom with shower. There is a large garden with a comfortable gazebo, where you can have lunch or relax. Among other services, a small library so you can consult our books and guides on the area. Your pets are accepted :) for guests with pets, free dog & cat-sitter service for half a day. Dogs' green area.

What to do

In the area it is possible to go for walks and bicycle rides along the Sile Natural Park, where you can enjoy a unique landscape. A few km from home there are several professional and electric bike rental points. Of course culture is not lacking!! The apartment is located a few km from the Roman site and archaeological museum of Altino and from Venice, easily reachable in 20 minutes by train from the Quarto d'Altino railwaystation or 25 minutes by car. In the area to visit there is the village of Roncade with its beautiful castle and the welcoming and lively city of Treviso. In addition, historic cities such as Padua, Vicenza and Verona, the enchanting Dolomites and the beaches of Jesolo.

In the wood bordering the house, live various species of birds and small mammals, especially hedgehogs, which, even if shy, can be encountered in the park of the house at dusk. The fireflies, on the other hand, will make your June and July evenings magical :). At km 0 there are several vegetable gardens.
