Trip to Montello

A day on Montello between nature, memorials and good food. The Montello hill is located north of Treviso, about 20 km and is bathed by the course of the Piave river. Montello is also known as The Wood of the Serenissima, as it supplied the Venetian Republic of wood for the Arsenale. In memory of this custom, in fact the Montello is sectioned from north to south by "XXI Prese", so defined by the Venetians to plan where to "take" the tree trunks.

What to do in Montello: inside the suggestive wood you can go for walks, mountain bike or horse riding (there are several riding schools). Here you will also find several restaurants where you can eat and taste good food accompanied by excellent prosecco.
